The content of your blog is good, but the choice of background and text is bad; black is not a really good background for most colors except possibly white, yellow and red(but with bright red the contrast is too startling if there is much text). Blue, purple and many muted shades of any color are almost impossible to read commfortably on a black background. Just some suggestions for a better look.
